Pillar Candle Holder Video Tutorial
Back in the winter, I filmed a video tutorial on how to use Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint to create different looks on turned wooden pillar candle holders. After my labors, I went to upload it to my YouTube channel, but I had a lot of issues and it wouldn't process.
It wasn't until I was able to upgrade our household internet to business speed that I was finally able to get everything to upload properly. So today, I'm so excited to share this tutorial with all of you because it's taken me quite some time to get it up and running! So without any further delay, let's learn how to create three gorgeous looks using Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint!
The candle holders that I used are these. I purchased them from my local Hobby Lobby, but you can use any raw wood project you have at home.
In the video tutorial, I show you how to create a rich wood stained look using MMS Milk Paint's "Curio".
This lovely chocolate brown color is perfect to mix as a wood stain and it gives raw wood surfaces a rich and gorgeous new look. Here's how that set turned out.
Isn't that color beautiful?
Just look at that detail!
The next look that I show you uses a warm greige called "Schloss" (pronounced sch-low-ss) and Antiquing Wax.
The final look is a bonus! I stain the holders with Curio and then top them off with White Wax for a fun rustic look.
The video tutorial is broken up into 3 parts, so enjoy them below!
