New Video - Antique Haul
Yesterday, my Mom and I dropped off my four balloon back chairs at Morgantown Market. While we were in the area, we decided to do some antique shopping at a few local haunts to see what we could find. I went out looking for vintage nightstands but wound up scoring some incredible deals on small tables! For this particular post, however, I'm going to be sharing some of the smaller treasures I found.
Before we get into the smalls, I need to back up. As one of my Christmas gifts, I wanted to upgrade the camera I had been using for my photography. My brother-in-law sold me his used DSLR Canon Rebel XD at an amazing price and it came with all sorts of bells and whistles. As I've been doing more photography and tutorials, I have found the need to upgrade to a camera that has a more sensitive ISO and the ability to shoot HD videos. Now I didn't have much of an idea of what I was looking for, so I enlisted the help of one of my bridesmaids, Anna.
Anna suggested that I look into used or refurbished cameras because the cost of a brand new one was slightly out of my budget. The only thing that made them cheaper was that they were...well...used! And you know me, second-hand stuff doesn't bother me one bit!
Anna helped me find this Canon 6D and I split the cost with my Mom for Christmas.
I haven't had the chance to try out the HD video function, so I decided to give it a whirl and film a short video to show you some of the smalls I picked up on my trip! I'm still getting a feel for how it works, so please excuse the few seconds when my face is cut in half! I'm sure you'll still enjoy the tour.
Needless to say, I'm not going to put a price tag on these pieces for a little bit. I want to enjoy them for a while and use them for staging props.
Those German flash cards completely stole my heart!
The script on them is absolutely beautiful.
My next job today is to take photos of a pair of nightstands that will be available soon, and to take some other pieces down to Morgantown Market. We had some snow in PA, so I need to brush out Marshmallow's truck bed. He's a bit of a "frosted" Marshmallow at the moment!
