When The Fed Ex Guy Comes

When the knock at the door came yesterday morning, I rushed around the corner (causing Jake to arch his back and hide) and thundered down the stairs. I was determined not to miss the Fed Ex guy again. My door tag was still sitting on the coffee table as a reminder to pay attention today.

After a quick signature, I dragged my box upstairs and sat down cross-legged. Jake came out from hiding and came over to sniff, as is his usual practice whenever there are boxes nearby.

Raising the box cutter blade, I carefully began the surgical process of breaking through the layers of tape and plastic. After all, it came all the way from Germany. It should be taped up like Fort Knox.

I checked my invoice. Yep. It everything was here.

As I pulled out each item, I noticed the handmade touches. The craftsmanship. The smell of the wood.

My shipment from Redecker had finally arrived.

Drool with me, friends.

Wooden honey dippers.

The marbling of the wood is beautiful.

Aren't they so pretty all together in their glass cup?

Yummy like honey.

Super tough and durable scrubbing brushes.

The wooden handle tapers into a tip to fit into the smallest of corners.

Oh stains, you don't stand a chance against these bristles.

They're made to scrub and clean!

And then there's these nifty brushes. They are made to fit in between the slats of horizontal blinds.

This is a must-have for any rental property!

Last but not least, there are the stars of the show. German dish brushes.

The yellow bristles are stiffer and better suited for stuck-on food. I even use them to clean out my paint containers.

The black bristles are much softer and are better suited for everyday washing.

I put these little guys in a wooden tote with some Spanish moss in the bottom. Aren't they so pretty all lined up in a row?

It's a good day when the Fed Ex guy shows up.

These brushes will be available in my booth at Morgantown Market and at Rooted New London soon!
